Listen to the passage and summarize it. John on Casey have worked together for several years, and now casey has volunteered to plan john's retirement party. She wants it to be a surprise so she is planning its secretly. However, there is one issue. John will receive an expensive retirement gift but if the party is a surprise, he won't be able to choose it himself. So, Casey needs to figure out which gift he would most enjoy. Cases simply makes a list of possible gifts to show John, telling him that she is picking out a gift for her father's birthday and she would appreciate john's advice. John happily agrees to help and after looking over the list, he selects what he thinks would be the best gift. He's completely unaware that he just picked out his own retirement gift- a gold wristwatch!
